Golden Arrow – A Pet Friendly Resort

Lake Placid’s Green Hotel, Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort, is in the heart of Lake Placid. Located on the shores of Mirror Lake and in the heart of the Olympic Village, you can have easy access from shopping to skating and from enjoying the sun to admiring beautiful mountains.

It is a great pleasure for The Golden Arrow family to receive special guests such as your pets. This pet-friendly resort allows you to share with your pet the creature comforts of your guest room and the fun of your vacation. They have provided several conditions for pet owners to adhere.

All pets incur a $50 per pet, per week charge, failure to register your pet will result in a $75 per pet charge. In addition, a $100 per pet security deposit is required upon arrival. This deposit is refundable at the time of departure deducting any unintentional property damage, “accidents,” noise complaints, or disobedience of our leash law. If your pet seriously damage any item of the resort’s property, you will be charged full replacement value. When chronic disturbance issues occur, the resort may require you to take your pet(s) to a local kennel or being asked to check out. Pets must be on a leash at all times and owners must clean up after them when outside of their guest room on hotel property.

In Golden Arrow, pets are not permitted to swim on the sandy beach area. But if your pet is found running around wet or unleashed on the beach you will forfeit the $100 deposit and or be asked to check out.

Pets are restricted to Deluxe Rooms located on the 3rd floor only. This is to assure other guests that may have pet allergies that no animal has been in any Suite or Specialty Room or any room on a floor besides the 3rd. Pets are also not allowed on the Allergen Free floor – first floor North wing.

Pet owner must not leave their pets unattended in the room. However if circumstances requires a pet being left in their room alone, the animal must be crated and you must leave contact number to the Front Desk. The resort also reserve the right to refuse daily housekeeping to rooms in which a pet is left loose.

At Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort, 10% of the money collected from visiting animals is donated annually to the local Humane Society. This directly benefits the hundreds of animals that pass through the doors of the local shelter each year. By bringing your beloved pet in visiting Golden Arrow, you are helping these animals find loving homes.
