Animal Planet and Comcast Invite Boston-Area Residents and Their Pets to Join in Free Fun When ANIMAL PLANET EXPO Rolls into Town Saturday June 14 and Sunday June 15 at Marshfield Fair Grounds
ANIMAL PLANET EXPO, now in its 11th year, celebrate and support the connection between people and animals. The reason why animal lovers of all ages have been flocking to this event.
The award winning traveling summer tour has entertained, educated and inspired over one million people. This year, the event have stopped on most cities across the country. Animal Planet and Comcast, plus national sponsors the makers of Fresh Step(R) litter and Purina(R) and local sponsors George Washington Toma TV and Appliance, South Shore Savings Bank and Saturn have one goal and that is to let each family explore the wonder of wildlife. iIt’s important also to celebrate the important role animals play on this planet and to enjoy the experience that is ANIMAL PLANET EXPO. ANIMAL PLANET EXPO comes to Boston on Saturday June 14 and Sunday June 15, from 10 AM to 4 PM at Marshfield Fairgrounds, 140 Main Street, Marshfield MA 02050.

Exciting new attractions will be the feature showcase of this years’s EXPO. A foot long inflatable “King Croc” slide will be evident. Also coming along for the ride is Steve Thomas, who will be
available for autographs on Saturday from 11 AM to 2 PM.
It’s obvious that ANIMAL PLANET EXPO enchants and entertains people nationwide. Fur-raising stunts from high-flying Frisbee dogs, breathtaking exotic live animal presentations, and twists on classic games such as Pin the Tail on the Puppy and Plink-o have always been part of the Expo’s highlights which also, have always been spectacular attractions. Frisbee dog show times are 11 AM, 12:30 PM, 2 PM and 3:30 PM, which is always held at the center of the venue. Make sure though that you get there early to participate in the Planet Green Frisbee toss! Also held in the center of the grounds are live exotic animal presentations on the R.O.A.R Stage. This showcases some of the world’s most striking animals, including pythons, vultures, and kinkajous, will take place at 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 1 PM and 2:30 PM.
What’s new this year and actually will be making its debut is Planet Green Experience, an eco-friendly exhibit designed to inspire better living for people and animals. Its purpose is to bring to life the mission of the first and only 24-hour eco-lifestyle network. Also, Planet Green will further expand how fun going green can be by utilizing trivia game and by letting Expo guests take an eco-photo or hopping on an eco-bike for a ride. Planet Green Experience’s main goal is educate and inform people about the power of being part of a movement that will have a lasting and powerful impact on the future of the planet. Several Eco-friendly elements can be seen in the Planet Green Experience including the geodesic dome, solar-powered fans and aluminum fencing. Planet Green Experience is sponsored by Saturn and SC Johnson.
If you happened to bring your pet dog to the EXPO, he too can share the fun! The Purina(R) Dog Park full of fun activities for dogs of all kinds so take some time to play with your pet there.
R.O.A.R is also brought back with a new twist. EXPO invites all guests to R.O.A.R this summer. R.O.A.R is Animal Planet’s nonprofit animal advocacy partnership with leading animal organizations that encourages people to Reach Out, Act, and Respond in helping to make the world a better place for animals. Promises can be as simple as putting aside time everyday to play with the family pet, promoting conservation, or supporting a favorite wildlife foundation. A 16′x19′ LCD video screen is provided to give all attendees the chance to watch anything and everything going on at the EXPO.
Pet Den is also returning for this season’s tour. It is a wonderland of information sponsored by the makers of Fresh Step(R) litter. Opportunities such as pet adoption opportunities and helpful information on how to find the perfect pet for your family will also be provided by the makers of Fresh Step(R) litter and Animal Rescue League of Boston. This is in addition to hosting “Ask the Vet” sessions, where pet owners can meet one-on-one with local veterinarian to ask pet-related questions.
The HD Dome is something that should not be missed. It’s giving visitors the opportunity to experience firsthand the clarity of high-definition programming from Discovery’s family of HD networks including Discovery Channel HD, TLC HD, Animal Planet HD, Science Channel
HD, Planet Green HD and HD Theater.
